Monetary and other gifts made to Alabaster Youth Wrestling Association help us achieve our mission through the programs and camps we offer.

Programs include:

• Folkstyle Training - Scholastic
• Freestyle and Greco Training - Olympic
• Camp Jacob - an intensive camp focusing on spiritual, mental and skill development. Click here for information about our 2008 Camp Jacob.
• Camp Sparta - Intensive camp focusing on technique, physical training, and mental toughness.
• Daryl Cox Scholarship - Annual presentation to high school senior in honor of the memory of Coach Daryl Cox who overcame tremendous odds after a near fatal car accident as a teenage wrestler. Daryl passed away in June 2006. Click here for a tribute to Daryl.
• Scholar/Athlete - Focuses on study habits and assisting students prepare for college.
• Community Outreach - Creates the opportunity to participate regardless of family dynamics or socioeconomic status.
• The Good Samaritan - Reinforces that we are able to make a difference by involving the wrestlers in charity events.

Facility and Equipment Needs Include:

• Wrestling Room needs mats, wall padding, pull-up bars, climbing ropes, and airdyne bikes.
• Weight Training Room needs floor mats and ergonomic equipment such as hammer strength, dumbbells, medicine balls, and excercise balls.
• Parents Lounge needs couches, love seat, chairs, and coffee table.
• Kids Romper Room needs toys (quiet toys).
• Student Library needs bookshelves, computers, desks, DVD/VCR, and television.
• Kitchen needs pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, and plastic storage containers.
• Wrestler Locker Room needs clothes detergent, benches, and lockers.
