Grab your medals, singlet and get ready to grin!

The team photo shoot will be Thursday, February 14th. We will begin individual photos around 5:00pm. We'll attempt to take the team photo around 6:00-6:30pm.

Coaches: Wear your AYWA coach's shirt and floss your teeth (every little bit helps, yanno).

Wrestlers: Dress like you're going to a tournament - wear your singlet, wrestling shoes, and AYWA sweats. For individual photos, bring your hard-earned medals, trophies, and awards to add a little bling to your shot!



2008 Dixie Duals Information

MORE MATS, MORE TEAMS, WRESTLE WITH AND AGAINST THE BEST!

Saturday-Sunday, March 15-16, 2008 - Sponsored by The Alabama Wrestling Club

This Year, unlike years past there will not be a Team Alabama Qualifier for Middleschool, Novice, Midget, and Bantam, The Qualifier is the USAW State Tournament that is at Vestavia on February 15th and 16th.

AYWA Practices at Warrior Wrestling Complex

This season AYWA will hold separate sessions for two age groups.

  • "Littluns". Wrestlers that were born in the years 2000 to 2003 will practice most Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • "Bigguns". Wrestlers born in the years 1995 to 1999 will have practice most Mondays and Thursdays 6:30pm until 8pm, and Tuesdays 6-8pm.

    REMEMBER -- If any 'Bigguns' arrive before the 'Littluns' finish, please be respectful and refrain from running amok and distracting anyone. Sit quietly while waiting or putting on any last-minute equipment is welcomed.
